Catalog description

Students focus on a number of topics and concepts that fall within the sub-discipline of cultural geography. Students engage in place-based learning, with the primary emphasis being a field experience that directly exposes students to processes and concepts introduced and discussed in the classroom. These may include migration, urbanization, economic transformations, demographic change, technological change, social and cultural change, diffusion, heritage tourism and other topics. This course is writing enhanced. Prerequisite: 6 GEOG advanced hours or permission of Instructor.
