Catalog description

Students explore concepts, techniques, and tools used to explain the circulation, structure, and motion of the atmosphere in the tropics. Topics may include the subtropical jet stream, Hadley cell, atmospheric teleconnections, monsoons, convective thunderstorms, and tropical cyclones. Prerequisite: GEOG 3340 , GEOG 3342 , or permission of instructor.
