Students explore principles, techniques, and tools used in forecasting weather conditions in a time-constrained environment. Topics may include thermal advection, vertical motion, vorticity, jet stream, severe weather, fire weather, numerical weather prediction, and weather forecast writing. Prerequisite: GEOG 3340 and GEOG 3342 or permission of instructor.
