Catalog description

Students develop knowledge and skills to improve horsemanship ability to effectively communicate with and train the young horse. Topics include but are not limited to safety around horses, equine behavior, ground training methods, desensitization, mounted training methods, equipment, stable management, and young horse management. Course serves as a progression from EQSC 3340 . Course Equivalents: AGRI 4391 Prerequisite: EQSC 3340 and Junior standing.
