Catalog description

Students explore advanced questions about the structure and evolution of the English language. Topics might include phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, or pragmatics, or explore issues in socio-linguistics present in all works of literature. Topics will vary. May be repeated once with permission of department Chair. Prerequisite: Graduate Standing.
