Linguistic Structures of American Sign Language (ASL).

Catalog description

Students use linguistic principles to examine the structure of American Sign Language, including phonology, morphology, semantics, syntax, and pragmatics. The students integrate ASL skills with linguistic concepts to describe language phenomena within the Deaf Community. Instruction is in ASL. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in SGNL 1401 , SGNL 1402 , SGNL 2311 , and SGNL 2312 .
