Catalog description

(SH Prior Course ID: CJ 485); Students will explore how social factors shape the study of crime and the administration of justice. Attention is given to examining patterns of criminal offending, victimization, and criminal justice processing across different population groups, as well as possible explanations for these patterns. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of individual experiences at various stages of the justice system (e.g., policing, courts, corrections). Prerequisite: Senior standing .
