Neuroscience of Counseling.

Catalog description

Students will analyze, and critique issues related to neuroscience of counseling. Topics include, but are not limited to, the definition and basics of neuroscience, introduction to brain and nervous system, impact of life events on brain and brain development, and the mind-body connection. This course is structured to provide information about practical, evidence-based application of counseling practices to help clients who experienced life events that negatively impacted their brain development or brain structure.
