Catalog description

Students examine the use of ethically, developmentally, and culturally informed research methods to inform counseling practice; developing skills in evaluating peer-reviewed research including understanding of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research and associated data analysis methods for the purpose of evaluating peer-reviewed literature, conducting clinical intervention outcome studies, and for developing counseling program evaluations, including incorporation of needs assessments, formative and summative evaluative assessments, and development of logic models to guide evaluation. Prerequisite: Acceptance into a counselor education degree program.
