Catalog description

Students engage in a 4-week clinical experience under the supervision of hematologists and/or oncologists who manage patients with complex conditions affecting the hematopoietic system or with cancer. The experience may include inpatient admissions and/or consultations in addition to outpatient clinic. Students obtain comprehensive patient histories, perform physical examinations, and collaborate with supervising physicians to develop differential diagnoses and formulate evidence‑based management plans for a range of hematologic and/or oncologic scenarios. Prerequisite: CLIN 7801 .
