Catalog description

Students engage in a 4-week clinical experience under the supervision of gastroenterologists who manage patients with complex conditions affecting the GI system. The experience may include an outpatient surgical suite rotation and inpatient admissions and/or consultations in addition to outpatient clinic. Students obtain comprehensive patient histories, perform physical examinations, and collaborate with supervising physicians to develop differential diagnoses and formulate evidence‑based management plans for a range of gastroenterological scenarios. Prerequisite: CLIN 7801 .
