Catalog description
This clinical clerkship provides the student with the opportunity to gain experience in psychiatry and mental health. Students are assigned to a hospital for their third year core rotations and this clinical clerkship will be accomplished as part of the core rotations, but may or may not be at the assigned facility, depending on services provided. The student is expected to learn the diagnosis and treatment of patients in a behavioral health setting. Credits: 4. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all coursework in years 1 & 2, passing grade on COMLEX Level 1.
