Catalog description

Students gain experience in nutrition for clinical practice in an online and self-directed environment. Students evaluate the impact of food and diet, including the essential micro- and macro-nutrients, on health and disease prevention. Topics include therapeutic diets and nutrition for specific disorders as well as tube feeding, IV alimentation, and medical and surgical interventions. Students complete modules (which may include, but is not limited to, videos, reading assignments, case studies, and assessments). Credit: Variable, maximum 4 hours.
