Catalog description

Students train with pulmonologists who care for patients with acute and chronic lung diseases and/or sleep disorders. The experience may include outpatient clinic, inpatient admissions, subspecialty consultations, sleep laboratory admissions, and outpatient surgical interventions. Students engage with patients in the collection of data, to perform a physical examination, to attend surgical procedures when requested, and to work with their Attending physician to reason through differential diagnoses and generate a plan for management of lung and sleep disorders. Credit: 1-4 hours.
