Catalog description
Students train with nephrologists who care for patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases. The experience may include outpatient clinic, inpatient admissions, subspecialty consultations, and outpatient surgical interventions. Students engage with patients in the collection of data, to perform a physical examination, to attend surgical procedures when requested, and to work with their Attending physician to reason through differential diagnoses and generate a plan for management of renal disorders. Credit: 1-4 hours.
