This course emphasizes making science meaningful to children. Experience is provided in the selection and evaluation of science curriculum resources and the preparation of appropriate instructional materials. Students observe and teach science lessons in an elementary grades classroom. Field experiences required. This course is taken in semester 1 of Year Long Residency. Course Equivalents: CIEE 4335 Prerequisite: Admission to Educator Preparation Program and Departmental approval.
