Catalog description

Students study the strong overlap between philosophy and education with emphasis on the implications of their presuppositions for educational theory and practice. Philosophies of education and theories of schooling are applied to the study of current practices and issues in education and to the development of educational policy and practice. Prerequisite: Admission to the Ed.D. program in Literacy.
