Catalog description

Students will examine the impact of educational policy as it influences curriculum and instruction in the United States and/or internationally. Key concepts in educational policy and the way in which the policies impact systems of education at the local, state, and national level are examined, as are power structures created by educational policies. The course also considers the influence of curricular theories and policies. Prerequisite: Admission to the Ed.D. program in Literacy.
