Social Entrepreneurship: A Practice-Based Approach.

Students develop creative solutions to real societal challenges through experiential and collaborative learning. The course examines how entrepreneurial principles and innovative, market‑based strategies can be applied to address social, environmental, and community needs while driving positive social change. Topics include opportunity recognition, mission‑driven business models, sustainable value creation, impact measurement, funding strategies, and ethical decision‑making. Through case studies and applied activities, students learn how ventures can generate meaningful social impact while maintaining financial viability and gain the skills necessary to launch and grow social ventures. Prerequisite: BUAD 3345 .
