Catalog description

Students examine the legal issues confronting entrepreneurs and owners of small businesses. This course focuses on the legal planning and protections necessary to successfully form, maintain, and grow a business. Through hands-on exercises and practical case studies, students learn to manage risk and keep ventures protected. Students also learn to avoid costly pitfalls by safeguarding their brand and protecting their innovations using intellectual property law. This course equips entrepreneurs with the knowledge to navigate legal complexities and make informed decisions that directly impact their venture's growth and sustainability.
