Catalog description
This course includes an introduction to statistical methods and their application to real biological problems. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation and regression, and analysis of variance. Use of the computer in statistical analyses will also be stressed. Fall and Spring. Prerequisite: (Minimum grade of C in MATH 1314 or MATH 1420 and 8 hours of advanced Biology) or (Junior standing, BIOL 3409 , and C or better in MATH 1342 , 1420 , or 3379).
