Catalog description

This course covers physical, chemical, and biological features of inland waters; organisms of freshwater; factors in biological productivity; methods and equipment. Laboratory focuses on various methods of sampling biotic and abiotic components of freshwater systems. This course is designed to meet the needs of ecologists, biologists, environmental scientists, and teachers of science. Two-hour laboratory. Fall. Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in BIOL 1411 and BIOL 1413 or BIOL 1406 and BIOL 1407 , and Junior standing.
