Catalog description

An introduction to the study of cells, including scientific method, biochemistry, metabolism, cell energetics, membranes, cellular evolution, DNA, protein synthesis, the cytoskeleton, cell division, and the cellular basis of inheritance, with emphasis on the development of problem solving skills. Three-hour laboratory. Fall, Spring, Summer. Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in BIOL 1406 , BIOL 1407 , and CHEM 1411 .
