Catalog description

Students explore techniques and processes used to create books as an artistic expression. Techniques such as papermaking and bookbinding are used along with printmaking, photography, and drawing. Students use traditional and experimental book structures to create books that are personal expressions. Each student creates a series of books. The historical and conceptual foundations of contemporary artists' bookmaking are also examined. Prerequisite: ARTS 3310 .
