Advanced Livestock and Horse Evaluation.

Catalog description
Students study advanced principles of livestock and horse evaluation, including conformation analysis, grading systems, and visual appraisal techniques. Emphasis may be placed on the influence of heredity, environmental factors, performance data, and current industry standards on selection decisions across cattle, swine, sheep/goats, and equine species. Students will also analyze products associated with each species and refine their ability to articulate and defend judgments through advanced oral and written reasons in response to evolving trends within the livestock industry. Prerequisite: ANSC 2321 Course Equivalents: AGRI 4339 .
