Catalog description

Students explore the principles and applications of irrigation and water management used in agricultural, turf, and landscape systems. Emphasis is placed on the design, construction, operation, and management of surface, subsurface, sprinkler, and drip irrigation systems, as well as drainage and water conservation practices. Students also apply surveying, topographic mapping, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to the planning and management of land and water resources. Prerequisite: AGET 2303 Course Equivalents: AGRI 4390 .
