Catalog description

Students explore how organizations use accounting information to plan operations, control costs, evaluate performance, and make strategic decisions. Students will learn to interpret internal financial data, analyze cost behavior, prepare basic budgets, and understand the financial impact of managerial choices. This course equips students with essential tools to support effective decision-making in any business or organizational setting. For students pursuing fields outside of accounting study managerial accounting with an emphasis on real-world application over technical detail. Not open to accounting majors or minors. Prerequisite: ACCT 2302 .
