Catalog description

Concepts essential to the provision of nursing care and application of nursing skills are explored and applied to clients in diverse clinical settings. The evidence-based knowledge gained at the Junior 1 level forms a basis for clinical reasoning and decision making as students develop their nursing skills. Professional behavior, patient safety, and appropriate uses of resources will be demonstrated in administration of medications and application of nursing interventions. (135 clinical/simulation hours). Offered fall and spring and summer (summer is limited to students in BSN/ACC program).
