Catalog description

This course is designed to explore theories and models of health-related behavior among individuals and populations. Students will analyze selected theories that explain the psychology behind motivation for health-related behavior change and variables that influence short- or long-term changes. Research evidence that supports theories and models will be discussed. Emphasis is on the application of theory in developing interventions and programs targeting individuals or populations. Formerly Psychology of Health-Related Behavior.
