Catalog description
This course examines representations of disability in literature and film through historical, cultural, and critical lenses. Students analyze how narratives shape perceptions of the body, identity, race, gender, and power while engaging disability studies theory and diverse authors and filmmakers. Emphasis on close reading, visual analysis, and written argument.
