Catalog description

This course examines the content and methods of teaching mathematics in diverse and inclusive settings, preparing teacher candidates to develop children's ability to approach and solve problems in number concepts, geometry, probability and measurement. State standards for K-2 math will be explored. An emphasis will be placed on the interrelatedness of curricular areas and the use of multimodal strategies and educational technologies that support engaged learning activities in mathematics. Offered fall.
