Catalog description
*Level 1 Professional Education Course for Secondary Majors. *Level 2 Professional Education Course for Elementary Education and Middle Level Majors. This course is an introduction to the professional, ethical, and moral responsibilities of teachers, and to the teacher education program at Saint Xavier University. Students will be introduced to a variety of professional standards and will focus their attention on the development of their own professional dispositions. Critical issues in education, such as diversity, curriculum development, state and federal mandates and legal issues will be addressed. Students will utilize technology to access course requirements (CANVAS). Offered fall and spring.
