Fundamentals of Embalming Chemistry provides a survey of the basic principles of chemistry as they relate to funeral service education program. Emphasis is placed on selected aspects of general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. Topics covered include states of matter, classification of matter, solutions, structures of organic compounds, and properties of biochemical compounds. Students will obtain the prerequisite chemical knowledge needed for advancement to Advanced Embalming Chemistry.
