Scenic and Lighting Design

Catalog description

This course seeks to serve as a primer on theatrical scenic and lighting design through theoretical and technical instruction as well as hands-on experience. Students can expect to leave this class with a foundational knowledge of the scenic and lighting design process, the ability to read and create associated technical documents and drafting, comfort with a variety of theatrical lighting equipment, and the foundational tools to understanding scenery and lighting as an artistic, designed element of theatre and entertainment.
