Catalog description

This course covers intermediate and advanced topics in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) used in the social sciences. Students learn the foundations of spatial analysis by using ArcGIS Pro to investigate patterns across areas like public health, urban planning, environmental justice, social networks, and crime. Through hands-on exercises, students critically evaluate how existing social systems function and impact human well-being, equity, and justice through and across space.
