Capstone Seminar

Catalog description

This writing intensive course provides the opportunity for undergraduate students to complete and present a capstone project that synthesizes this Department’s undergraduate learning outcomes. Students will self-select a topic to investigate and then research, analyze, synthesize, and reflect on material from academic sources. A variety of formal and informal writing assignments will address multiple stages of critical thinking and writing. Students will present their final project to the Department and invited members of the University to showcase their ability to communicate effectively in writing, speech, and visual media.
