Catalog description

Speech communication is a complex process. This course focuses on the underlying principles of speech production, hearing science, acoustics, sound transmission, and speech perception. Students will gain understanding of how speech and hearing work in normal speech communication. Common acoustic analysis techniques will be introduced and practiced during this course.
