Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Catalog description

Medical student will spend 2-4 weeks in the child and adolescent psychiatry clinics and on the consult service. Will get to develop an ability to talk with patients about their problems, understand special cultural circumstances, and become familiar with the dynamics of the doctors/patient relationship in child psychiatry setting. The experience will also include writing up a new case and a progress note on a case that they get to see during this time.
