Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry

Catalog description

The student will have the opportunity to see a variety of patients on the medical and surgical wards as well as psychiatric consultation. The student will be expected to become familiar with major topics in consultation-liaison psychiatry through reading of texts and articles available from the course director. These topics include depression and anxiety disorders in the medically ill, delirium, evaluation of transplant candidates, and other topics related to specific patients seen.
