PM&R SSM Rehabilitation Career Exploration

Catalog description

This elective will provide the student exposure to hospitalized rehabilitation patients and the interdisciplinary team which serves this population. The student will develop an understanding of the evaluation and medical management of these patients as well as the care coordination required to achieve discharge to the community. This rotation is best suited for students with an interest in PM&R, and who want to experience the care continuum for the most impaired patients.
