Catalog description

This course introduces catechetical methodologies and best practices for teaching the Catholic faith to elementary-age students. Emphasis is placed on the holistic formation of students in grades K–8 and on the role of the catechist in fostering faith development and discipleship. Topics include catechetical documents, the spirituality of the catechist, stages of child and adolescent faith development, evaluation of catechetical curricula, essential elements of religious education, and creative and age-appropriate teaching methods.
