This doctoral-level course serves as both a standalone scholarly experience and preparatory course for PAED 6700 , the Doctoral Capstone. The goal of this course is to have students explore and design the purpose and rationale of an individual doctoral capstone. A written proposal will be developed to request approval for the project and to guide implementation in the following course, PAED the Doctoral Capstone. This course focuses on the critical evaluation and application of advanced concepts in medical science, healthcare systems, policy, professional practice, and medical education. Through structured dialogue, scholarly writing, and peer engagement, students will refine the research question, conduct literature synthesis, and draft foundational components of the scholarly manuscript that will be completed in PAED 6700 , the Doctoral Capstone.
