Stroke Neurology

Catalog description

This elective provides fourth-year medical students with comprehensive education in the medical stroke neurology. The course focuses on the diagnosis, management, and procedural techniques used in treating cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic stroke, TIA, intracranial hemorrhages, and vascular anomalies (aneurysms, vascular malformations, etc). The student will participate in daily rounds, M-F, four days a week, and one day will be spent on the outpatient side. If there is extra time, the student may observe interventional neurology cases.
