Beginning Class Music: Guitar

Catalog description

Beginning students learn to play the guitar in a group setting. Students are introduced to the elements of a musical sound (pitch, duration, and dynamics) and learn how those elements translate into musical notation for their guitar. Much of the semester is spent learning and practicing technique and learning appropriate repertoire. Regular practice outside of class is required. Students must provide their own guitar.
