Catalog description

This course introduces numerical methods for analyzing convective heat transfer and fluid flow using the finite volume method (FVM). Topics include discretization of transport equations, accuracy, stability, and boundary condition treatment. Students will simulate steady and unsteady convection–diffusion problems. Through programming assignments and computational projects, students gain practical experience in modeling and analyzing real-world thermal systems.
