Medical Conditions and Physical Activity

Catalog description

This course is a review of responses of the body to exercise and sports with specific discussion of acute and chronic medical conditions that can affect physical activity and athletic performance. This includes foundations of lab studies used to inform general medical condition evaluation and diagnoses. In addition, this course covers therapeutic interventions for common general medical conditions, including pharmacological interventions medications commonly used in sports medicine.
