Urban Issues Symposium (E)
Saint Louis University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
In this course, students work in teams to respond to projects in collaboration with local partners. During class, subject matter experts and faculty present multi-disciplinary aspects of planning and development projects to help guide the work of student teams. Successful project deliverables require a holistic understanding of and engagement with community members, private property owners, various government agencies (e.g., public works, planning and zoning, GIS, problem properties, etc.), businesses, schools, and other relevant organizations and individuals. Teams are expected to meet regularly outside of class to discuss and prepare their team’s deliverables.
