Catalog description

The course focuses on the development and application of demonstrable behaviors in a patient-centered care, a caring response, and improving care to achieve better individual patient outcomes through effective Interprofessional Collaborative Practice. Specific skills focus on applied ethical decision-making in the context of clinical cases, and the using the SHARE Approach to shared decision making in the context of interviewing patients. This course builds upon foundational knowledge and skills of effective teamwork and interprofessional practice developed in IPE 2100 . Course themes and cases address Dignity, Ethics, and Social Justice in the access to and delivery of healthcare.
