Catalog description

This introduction to human geography course is for international students at a B1 proficiency as defined in CEFR, which describes one’s ability at this level to “understand the main points of clear standard input” and “describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions.” Students will learn the basics of geographic inquiry, apply their skills to the study of a local place, and present their findings on a website they build for this course. By considering places and systems through a variety of stakeholders’ perspectives, students will recognize the interdependence of people and places around the globe.
