Catalog description

This course develops students reading and vocabulary skills by focusing on strategies necessary for comprehending high beginner-level academic texts. Students build a working academic vocabulary and learn to skim, scan, determine the topic, identify main ideas and supporting details, annotate, and apply critical reading and thinking skills.
